Hey Leslie!

I figured it would be a good time to give you a quick catch up to how things have been going since I last saw you! I've been following my small meals every three hours with the right proportions of carbs and proteins, and I'll have to admit that it hasn't been too painful.

I've joined a gym and have been going three times a week at about 1 1/2 hours a time and walking my dogs for an hour on the in between days. Good news is... I've lost 10 lbs already!  I really do owe a big thanks to you for your great advice on everything because my blood sugar has been normal everytime I've tested since following your eating plan!

Dr. Roseff said my last blood tests were great! But I was hoping you could give me some advice on a few things. Do you have any tips for making fast food "healthy" or should I say "healthier?" And do you know of any good brands that make a low-carb pasta? It would be awesome to find a good one!

I am slowly  figuring out what my diet should be like. It will take time for me to feel comfortable with making choices for my meals and snakes. I have been using my bike at night and can do 20 minutes. I hope I will be able to work this up to more time each week.  I did take you suggestion to have a granny smith apple and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter 15 minutes after my biking.  I have lost about 5 1/2 pounds.

The journal of my food, calories & exercise for the past week  is below. Leslie, I was down 4.8 lbs this morning, which obviously I'm thrilled about!

It wasn't all peaches & cream. I need to get more exercise in, and the weekends, where food and family enablers are plentiful, will continue to be a struggle.

Hi Leslie:
 
I just wanted to let you know that I reached 170 lbs this week!!  This was our initial goal.  I'm looking to lose 2 more lbs. to make it an even 60 lost.   I've plateaud a few times, but felt good going through them since I was able to maintain and then lose.
